Turning nature data into impact for nature.

Organizations from across public and private sector working on environmental projects often struggle to translate data into impact. Whether that is funding, board decisions, strategy, or evidence based policies. I've spent the past 7 years working within government and NGOs using data to drive policy decisions for the environment, and scaling conservation programs internationally. Through Weird Fishes Advisory I hope to help more organizations turn their nature data into impact for nature.

Let's talk about your challenge

Four problems I solve

01

"We don't have the right systems to work with our data."

You collect data but lack the infrastructure — the pipelines, platforms, or internal processes — to make it usable. I audit what you have, design what you need (scaled to your team's capacity and budget), and build or oversee the technical delivery. The system I leave behind is one you can actually maintain.

02

"We have data but it's not driving our decisions."

The infrastructure exists but the data isn't reaching decision-makers or shaping strategy. I build the decision-support tools — dashboards, metrics frameworks, reporting structures — that put the right information in front of the right people.

03

"We can't demonstrate our impact."

You're doing valuable work but can't quite communicate it — to funders, to government, or to your own board. I design impact frameworks, build clear reporting and visualisation, and help you tell the story of your work in a way that is compelling and grounded in evidence.

04

"Our programme should be bigger than it is."

You have a strong environmental programme but it's stuck — not reaching enough users, not engaging the right stakeholders, or remaining voluntary when it should be embedded in regulation. I handle the strategic layer: stakeholder mapping, partnership development, and the advocacy needed to scale.

Not a typical consultancy

I'm one person who can do the full spectrum — code a decision dashboard in the morning, present the strategy to your board in the afternoon. Seven years across UK government (DEFRA), international conservation NGOs, and corporate sustainability means I understand how these organisations actually work, not just how they should work in theory.

You get senior-level expertise, and I deliver implementation, not just recommendations.
